Taaibosch Drop-In Centre is a registered non-profit organisation, NPO 060-106-NPO, established on 27 April 2007 to support vulnerable children, young people and families within the community. The centre works across community services, humanitarian assistance, health, education, youth development and economic support. Its services address both immediate needs and the wider challenges affecting a child’s wellbeing.

These include providing nutritious cooked meals, food parcels and school uniforms, monitoring school performance, working with educators and involving children in after-school activities, educational trips and holiday camps. The centre also provides psychosocial support through bereavement counselling, peer support, crisis assistance and individual development planning. Through community outreach, it identifies vulnerable children, child and youth-headed households and families requiring assistance. Children and families are then connected with crèches, bursaries, poverty-alleviation programmes, government departments and other relevant stakeholders.

The centre also establishes and monitors support groups for children, young people and community caregivers, creating a coordinated network of care around those who need it most.
